Jamorama Review

Author: Joseph Tierney

I, like millions of people around the world have always had a dream to be a rock star. The thought of the swirling lights and the roar of the crowd has always has a certain appeal. Unfortunately I was not blessed with an innate gift to pick up any instrument and be able to play it to perfection and my voice? Well, we wont even go into that.

So like most people I spent years and years in a funk watching others play. It was sad really. I even went so far as to buy a guitar one time, not an expensive one or anything but it was okay, and I told myself that I would learn. I even picked it up a couple of times and got a book out of the library but that was as far as I ever got. I just didnt get it and I couldnt afford lessons. Have you checked out the price of lessons! Insane! And I am sure they are even more nowadays.

Just when I was about to give up my dreams of playing the guitar forever I saw an ad for Jamorama. I figured it for just another fake ploy to get people to spend their money. I thought it was a good one because so many of the other suckers out there were not as smart as I was and were sure to fall for it. A few days later I was in class and I heard a couple of guys talking behind me about guitar and one actually mentioned Jamorama. He said that it totally changed the way he looks at and thinks about music. He said he had never been able to really get it before but now he can play decently.

That really made me think and I decided to look up Jamorama online. When I did I have to say I was impressed. Instead of being jut the regular books like the one I got from the library there were tons of details lessons. And that was not the god part, what I liked the most was the audio and video files. These would allow me to hear what I should be playing instead of just trying to imagine it. I could listen to the files and then know what my stuff was supposed to sound like! What a concept right? It may be simple but it works.

So I got suckered in and I bought the Jamorama learning kit and I am so glad I did. I mean, I am not going to be opening for Metallica anytime soon or anything but I can play a tune now and I am getting better all of the time. I love guitar more than I even thought I would, even on my cheap guitar.

There are 84 separate lessons in the Jamorama kit, which makes learning easy. They break everything up into smaller bits so that you dont feel overwhelmed as you are learning. This keep the learning fresh and it keep it fun and a lot more relaxing. I end to stress out when I am learning and I get frustrated really easily but the way the lessons are planned out it kept all of that to a minimum. I really appreciated that part of the Jamorama concept.

You start nice and slow with the Jamorama plan as well. It teaches you the foundations of the art of playing guitar so that you can slowly build up to the intermediate and advanced levels. This is important if you want to continue to grow as a musician and I do!
